Report

2024

We published the 2024 Integrated Report in accordance with the guidelines of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, including the Sector Standard applicable to the sugar-energy sector, and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards related to our businesses. Once again, the report was submitted to External Assurance, reinforcing its role as an important tool for communication and transparency.

Starting this year, we have introduced an Indicators Report, which compiles the main quantitative indicators from the GRI and SASB standards. This material complements the information presented in our Integrated Report, offering an even more comprehensive view of our performance.

In our transformation journey, the Sustainable Strategy Program (PES) is what connects us to the future. With a focus on four pillars: Time, Resilience, Integration and People, PES strengthens our strategic management, drives adaptation to change and creates value for our stakeholders. It is an organic strategy, created by everyone and for everyone.

As part of our commitment to people and to valuing the journeys that build the legacy of Grupo Maringá, we launched the Cycles Program in 2024. The initiative recognizes employees who have completed 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years with the company, symbolic milestones represented by precious stones. To immortalize this recognition, we featured on our covers some of those who completed these cycles, proudly celebrating the people who are part of our story.

Governance

Transparency, responsibility and integrity are fundamental pillars of our management, guiding relationships and practices in compliance with applicable standards. Ethics is a recurring topic in our governance and educational actions, promoting alignment between our values and the actions of all stakeholders.

Environment

Our commitment to reducing emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) and other pollutants is reflected in the upgrading of industrial processes, the adoption of clean technologies and improved energy efficiency. We produce renewable electricity through Maringá Energia, our cogeneration unit that uses sugarcane bagasse, and through our six Hydroelectric Power Plants (CGH) owned by Maringá Ferro-Liga.

Social

People are at the core of our strategy, culture, and results. In 2024, we launched the Quality of Life Program, reinforcing our commitment to well-being, physical and mental health, and the creation of a safer and more collaborative work environment. We also continue to promote social transformation through projects, donations, and volunteer initiatives, with a special focus on education and culture.
