Highlights

In 2023, we took further steps and, for the first time, published the Integrated Report following the guidelines of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), consolidating it as a communication and management tool. Since 2021, we have adopted the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, and this year we incorporated the applicable Sectoral GRI for the sugar-energy sector and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) frameworks related to our business.

The Sustainable Strategy Program (PES) has continued to advance for more than two years with the main objective of contributing to sustainability and perpetuity of Grupo Maringá. We consider that, for our strategy to be effective, more than a plan, a set of continuous actions that encompass our various businesses, areas, teams, people and corporate culture is required.

Ethics and compliance topics are constantly addressed and are linked to our Integrity and Respect values. In 2023, we held the Ethics and Integrity Workshop for the first time and progressed towards a more robust and integrated risk management approach.
